Connect Vets goal is to help our veterans succeed and feel welcomed back into civilian life. Veterans can have a hard time transitioning from military life back into the community. Its common for them to experience a lack of purpose, depression, and anxiety. We are a multi-purpose, faith based organization that aims to educate the community on veteran specific issues and work towards ending veteran suicide, homelessness, and unemployment. Let's serve the ones who have served our country and protected our freedom.

Startling Statistics

  • 1 in 5 Veterans have PTSD

  • Healthcare costs are 3.5x more for individuals with PTSD

  • Veterans account for 20% of all suicides

What We Do

Vocational Skills

Our skills centers help teach veterans vocational skills to improve their sense of purpose and reduce unemployment. They also serve as a place veterans can go to engage in activities while experiencing a sense of community with others who understand their struggles.

Housing

We are working to build a one room apartment that will serve as emergency housing for veterans in need. We also connect veterans at risk for homelessness with community resources.

Mentorship

We connect military families with other veterans in the community that can assist in the transition back to civilian life. This may be talking with them about their worries, helping to navigate the necessary paperwork, assisting them with finding local resources, etc.

Repairs

Our skills centers can be used free of charge by veterans and their families to do their own repairs. We are also able to complete automotive repairs for vets in need. Connect Vets is committed to improving veterans quality of life and will make every attempt to help with any home repairs or connect you with other resources.

About Us

Who We Are

IMG_3465_edited.jpg

Connect Vets was founded in January 2018, and is a non-profit organization committed to serving the veteran population and improving outcomes as they transition to civilian life.

We are a faith based organization and our board members are veterans of the United States Military. We are committed to serving God, our families, communities, and veterans. We come from all walks of life and have struggled and come through the darkest times by the strength and hope of Christ.

We see the individuals who have served us, our country, our freedom, struggling. It is unacceptable that they be left homeless, unemployed, suicidal. Connect Vets serves our veterans struggling with reintegration by connecting them to God’s love, one need at a time.

Connect Vets enables the successful transition of military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, mentorship, advocacy, vocational skills development, and comprehensive support.
